Losing-weight
Last August I got really sick and started doing research on what is going on. I had been told multiple times that the food that I’m eating is bad for me, so I started looking into that.
This process changed my life and I want to start my new blog with this discovery (at least for me it was a profound discovery). Looking back I can’t believe that I didn’t discover the truth about what’s in the food.
I think there is no point in building a business, if I’m sick, overweight (I was 270 pounds) and unhealthy. The worst time came when my entire left side of the face was twitching for more then a full hour and also I was getting yellow light circles in front of my eyes for almost 15 minutes at a time and had a hard time focusing. It got very scary.
Fast forward almost a year, I’m not sick any longer and I lost tons of weight. Here is a picture of what I wight the past 2 months:
On the left is the weight on the right the date. Since I deleted my old blog and wanted to start a brand new one, I thought even that this subject is not marketing, it would be a good post to start with.
I think the biggest benefit for me was running into two videos that where very shocking since I never heard the information that they described and it basically meant that everything the MD’s told me in the past was a not true (or the videos where a lie).
I’ll start this by posting the same 2 videos that got me started down this path. Hopefully they might change your life for the better (they did for me). The first video is going to be taken down soon because it’s on Google Video, so watch it ASAP before it goes down.
Also I have to warn you that if you are a nit picky person you might want to skip this because I noticed people attack this idea on the basis that they have no credibility. Keep in mind for me everything the “non-credible” people said turned out to be true and the “main stream” MD’s turned out to be a lie. At least for me, I’m sure most people will disagree with that. The videos goes against everything you and I where told for decades!

I bought Gary’s book to, he is not a doctor so if you need proof that he knows what he is talking about, you might want to skip the video, this is the first video I watched after my sickness got really bad, and it helped me a great deal.

I hope this will not offend anyone, that is not my goal. The toxins I use to eat until august last year kills thousands of people every year! I know this sounds hash, but I believe that it’s true. Don’t ask me how can this be true, I know it sound non-logical that someone is allowed to kill people by putting toxins in food, but I got sick and I know it’s toxins, if that is not true then fine, but I believe it’s true!
DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH! I would recommend getting Gary Taubes’ book Good Calories, Bad Calories from Amazon if you like his video. I didn’t put the link because I know from the past people attack me from “profiteering” and this time the subject in my opinion is so important that I don’t want that to stop the attackers from learning this subject. I wish them to benefit from this information similar to what I have experienced and don’t want a stupid affiliate link to prevent them from checking out the book that I think is eye opening.
So you might be asking yourself how am I eating and what? Here is some of the info on how and what I’m eating, please don’t take this as advice it’s just what I eat and how I eat in case you are interested. I basically cut all sugar except in non boxed foods (fruits, vegetables). I don’t eat any bleached bread, rice, pasta and stuff like that. No artificial sweeteners some of them are toxic. Nothing in a box! No genetically refined sugar because they are toxic just listen to the video. Nothing in a box.
I eat 5 to 6 times per day, if I eat little or less times I don’t loose weight I noticed that. I eat tons of natural fiber. I eat meat that is not pre-packaged or processed. I don’t eat salt any longer there is plenty in the natural food. I cook often! Yes I learned to cook! Basically I avoid 90% of the grocery store (basically the middle isles)!
One more thing I do drink beer and whine, that doesn’t seam to have a problem. But other then the carbonated or bottled water, I avoid the drink isle because tons of the drinks have toxic stuff in them (HFCS/Appertain etc..) just listen to the video if you don’t believe me. Actually I think the drink isle got me poisoned and sick, but I can’t prove it, it’s just my suspicion. Hope I didn’t offend you here, I’m just trying to say it like I see it, and believe me this was way harder to figure out then stating a business (which is not easy). I guess the food industry is real good at marketing, which is no excuse, but helped keep me “blind” and eating the junk they sold me. NO MORE!
Here is a picture of me around 250 lbs while speaking at Dave Oswald’s Outsourcing bootcamp which was one of my last speeches, I only did one this entire year just so I don’t get rusty. I’m going to spend a month vacationing in Montenegro on the Mediterranean sea and will post videos and pictures of me so you can compare. I’m hoping to make it to Greece as well if the riots are over, but in any case you will see me around 205 lbs or less (I don’t plan to give up on this new lifestyle).

Please feel free to share your opinion, even if it’s negative, I get so many emails that 99% goes to spam and I just can’t read most of them, but I do read my blog multiple times per day, so please post here, and I would love to read your opinion on this subject and maybe learn something I was not aware of. I don’t know 100% what is true and what is false, I just know that how I lived before was wrong and there where bad toxins in the food that I use to eat and don’t any longer. I would like to know what you think or how you eat, or what is the best way to eat? Do you eat organic? Do you cook? How do you keep healthy or is being healthy important to you? Any new insights in this subject are welcome.

Dan, Here’s what I like to do for exercise, that can be done ANYWHERE. I bought the “ZUMBA” dance DVD’s. Of course, the main idea is to just have fun dancing. Actually, right now there are so many info-mercials, you can probably just follow along there. You can always find music on a radio or music on TV or an iphone & just move to the rhythm. Lots more fun than a treadmill, no cost (unless you buy DVDs), & if you’re exercising in your room while traveling, it really doesn’t matter if you’re keeping in time or not. To get more exercise value, I just exaggerate the dance moves.Have fun! Glad you are doing so well!

Here is the veggie sauce it’s very very simple but gives incredible taste (at least for me and a few friends I cooked for, so they say). Ok basically you get a small deep dish depending on how much you use it, you can scale up later if you like it. So here is what I do I put like 2 or 3 spoons of olive oil (extra virgin), 2 to 3 spoons of vinegar, half a lemon squeezed, sweet paprika 2 to 3 spoons, half a spoon of hot paprika, a quarter spoon of Cayenne Pepper, 1 clove tinny cut garlic. I mix it up then brush on the Veggies or just pour then mix it up while cooking. If I grill the veggies then I put in aluminum pan and bush or brush bigger veggies like Eggplant for example. It works on most of the ones I tried it on.
When I have friends I add Vegeta to the sauce, you can find it in an ethnic store. I don’t use it when I’m making this just for me since it has salt and I don’t eat salt.
Some notes I do this fast takes me 2 to 3 minutes. The garlic I just peal it and cut in my hand to like 20 to 30 pieces just cutting in my hand. The measuring for the spoons I don’t use a spoon just pour by the eye it’s much faster, the recipe is forgiving. I also use this to marinate meat also I use it to brush meat when grilling. I think I will get some indian spices soon and experiment with them, but this one give great taste I just love eating veggies with the prices. Let me know if you try it and it works, good luck.
Hey Dan, I do have some recipes that have replacements for pasta and potatoes if you are interested, just let me know if you want posted here or through your email. I think it is good anyway!
OK now you have to share the veggies sauce, my one really bad thing I do is I love salt (I use unprocessed sea salt) on veggies and some fruit (like salt on grapefruit). Not a lot, but veggies (cooked) without something just don’t appeal to me at all.
I can’t keep the schedule thing either! LOL

One thing I don’t do is do what I say, so for example if I say 5 times it’s roughly 5 times sometimes 7 sometimes 3 I just suck at being on time or sticking to procedures (which is why I have been fired so many times and haven’t worked in a decade). So basically I just walk up to the fridge if I’m hungry, grab piece of meat, tomato , piece of cheese and eat it, or some nuts etc… I drink the water with a lemon in it that fills me up. So there is no rule the key is a bunch of times but I eat a big breakfast with lots of fat and protein for example 3 eggs and bacon for example with something of fiber on the side. Same for lunch after that it’s little meals a bunch of them, If I really counted it might be 7 or 8 I have no idea writing down the weight is probably to much for me that’s how much I suck at keeping track and staying organized, but in any case it works! I think the suger, starch and bleached bread are the worst. By the way I’m on the list for Dr Mercola (http://www.mercola.com) and he says in his daily email a few days ago that 60% of Americans get most of their diet from worthless bread that has 0 nutrients which is cancer causing by the way. So that is the biggest thing I cut out a ling time ago. NO PASTA unless it’s whole (real) not with bleached flower but in general I cut 99% of pasta as well. I eat salads, tomatoes, unions and so on all the time also tons of pepper, radish, broccoli and other veggies. I by accident invented a sauce with healthy fat that give veggies incredible taste. Also I’ll walk up to and eat apples, pairs and other fruits 5 or 6 of them per day. So all that is tons of calories I’m never hungry, and I’m able to do that traveling at hotel rooms with some modification (more fruits, veggies , meat, cheese you can get that to your room if there is a fridge which is easy to find). I guess what did it for me is to just focus on the bad bad stuff and eat all the good stuff as much as I want that worked and I don’t need to count or be on schedule etc… so it’s easy once you get going. Thanks Dan, I will let you know what I think for sure! I would still really like to see what you eat in a day, Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack or however you eat it, 5 real meals?
It will be up to 2 weeks to get the book so I would really love to know what you eat in a day, then I can tweek it, at least until the book arrives!
Some times I eat before bed, but protein makes my sleeping not be restful (I am told that is because you body is digesting instead of true resting) and I will wake up tired, which makes me want to eat carbs.
I try to use Stevia instead of sugar or HFCS.

Gary’s book is great it worked for me. The key is to cut sugar (especially the one made from the genetically altered cord that is refined) to 0 if you can. The other think for me that was a big change is eat all the time I eat 5 or 6 times per day, now the shocker and everyone tells me this is bad, I eat before I got to bed, I then eat again if I want. I do eat tons and am never hungry, but I have protein and fiber with that and I don’t eat any sugar other then the natural sugar in fruits and veggies.
Read Gary’s book and let me know how it works. One more thing that happened to me I hope will happen to you, and that is the first month I LOST THE MOST! I have a theory but I’m not sure, I think because I ate more fiber and cooked foods it cleaned my organism a bit (probably the intestines have been) I hope this is not to much to say, but I always like to figure out how things work, but the first month I lost so much weight it was amazing, but after that I keep loosing just smaller amounts.

Great news about your weight loss and better health! I have really on people about toxins from food AND water. I have a ZeroWater Filter and drink tons of water and iced tea.
I ordered the book. I don’t drink pop, only have about 10ozs of Cranberry juice a week and about two times a month I do eat bread, no pasta, and eat potato a couple times a week, I am from Idaho we eat potatoes! But still find it hard to lose weight. I hope Gary’s book will give me the right proportions of protein and good carbs, I eat a lot of salad. Getting frustrating!
As for exercise check out Dr. Al Sears program called PACE. He says short spurts of fast exercise is much better on the heart and actually does more physically in a short amount of time. I think it is like 12 min. 3 times a week..

I’m glad to see you found the true data regarding nutrition and weight loss. There are many good books out there that back up what you are doing. “Pottenger’s Cats: A Study in Nutrition” is an interesting one, as well as the works of Royal Lee, a dentist who was a pioneer in the field of nutrition.
I also cut out the sugars and carbs and dropped from an all-time high of 165 to my high school weight of 135, while eating as much REAL food as I please.
In addition to eliminating the bad foods from the diet, it is usually necessary to repair the organs that got damaged. This can be done with proper whole food nutrition. I see Dr. Scott Damanti, in Clearwater, who follows the same nutrition advice you mention in your post. He has an effective method of testing the body to find out what nutritional support it needs to rebuild itself after many years of toxic foods. He can also test for any toxins that need to be eliminated. I had really bad allergies (for years) and also some skin conditions that cleared up since I started seeing him in November.
